This is a session for UVA faculty. Join the Education Abroad team for a session on submitting new study abroad program proposals. We welcome first-time faculty members to join us in learning about the program proposal process. We will have a panel of long-standing program directors to answer any questions and share their experiences taking students abroad.
Join us for an event to discuss tips and resources to help make the most of your education abroad experience now that you've returned. We'll share information about how to highlight your experiences on your resume and ways to stay globally connected. This will also be a great opportunity to meet and mingle with students who have shared similar experiences through education abroad.
Do you need a passport? This is your chance! Passport officials from USPS will be on Grounds to accept first-time and renewal passport applications, and a photographer will be on site to take your passport photo. This event is open to all students, faculty, staff, and their family members. Please visit the State Department’s website in advance to prepare the required documents and payment methods
Stop by our Mini-Fair and learn about the many ways you can gain a global experience both on grounds and abroad! Representatives from Education Abroad, the Career Center’s Global Career Program, the Office of Citizen Scholar Development, and more will be in attendance. Popsicles from La Flor Michoacana, a Cville favorite, will be provided!
Join us at Hotel A to kick off Global Week on Grounds! Visit our Global Week Tent and pin your travels on a map, participate in our Global Grounds Trivia to be entered in a raffle, and get your photo taken with Cav Man. Close to 11:00am, the Hullabahoos will be joining us to sing international pop-hits.
Join the Italian Studies Program at UVA for an aperitivo to learn about all the opportunities with us on grounds and abroad! Meet UVA in Italy: Siena (in affiliation with CET) staff to ask all about our offer in Italy; connect with fellow students as well as faculty in a relaxed atmosphere. Food will be provided.
Join Program Director Eli Carter for an info session about the J-Term UVA in Portugal: Empire, Colonies, and Democracy program.
